7 Things You Can Do to Stay Happy and Healthy

Now more than ever, it’s important to stay safe, healthy, and active! Here are a few things you can do at home to stay happy and healthy.


  1. Go for a walk or run.  Going outside will be a nice change of scenery. The fresh air can cleanse your lungs and the endorphins produced while exercising will make you happier!

  2. Eat healthier foods. Staying at home doesn’t give you an excuse to down your last box of Girl Scout cookies in one sitting (who am I to talk? I did this a few days ago).  With less eating out or having food delivered, this is an excellent opportunity to try out some new, healthy snacks, which I will be doing now that my Girl Scout cookies are gone.

  3. Do a little yoga! CorePower Yoga is now offering free, online yoga classes here that you can do from home, and many other gyms are offering online workout classes as well.  Whip out your yoga mat and get started!

  4. No gym? No step machine? Never fear! Run up and down the stairs in your home repeatedly. Don’t stop until you feel the burn.

  5. Meditate meditate meditate!  Good thoughts and mindfulness are as important as ever, and there are a variety of apps that can lead you in your very own meditation.

  6. Go for a bike ride around your neighborhood. This is yet another way to get fresh air and some exercise, and it’s less daunting than going for a run.  Just make sure you stay 6 feet away from everyone you see!

  7. Wash your hands! In case you didn’t go to kindergarten, here is a step-by-step on how to properly and effectively wash your hands.  Corona be gone!
