LS Family STEAM Night

Updated: Jul 18, 2021

On Wednesday night, St. Margaret’s hosted the annual Lower School Family STEAM Night to generate student interest in the fields of science, technology, engineering, art, and math. The available booths included the Estimation Station, Binary Bracelets, Lizard Wizard, Planters Club, and the Upper School Medical Club.

The Estimation Station taught students how to approximate the number of items in a jar (and the closest guess received a prize.) At Binary Bracelets, lower schoolers created bracelets with their names written in binary. The Lizard Wizard booth allowed students to interact with reptiles, including a baby alligator! And the US Medical Club taught students basic check-up techniques and presented anatomical models. After exploring STEAM activities, lower school students enjoyed treats catered by T.K. Burgers and Handel’s Ice Cream.
