Mrs. vW, a St. Margaret’s Librarian, teacher, advisor of The Margazine, and super cool person in general, has been working to go through the hundreds of documents, photos and more found deep in the archives at SMES. With the school’s effort to digitize everything, Mrs. vW has been going through the archives in order to find the best material for the school to use in the future and to create a record of everything they have. She’s also recruited members of her Research Methods classes to help her out with going through everything.
Last year, I took one of her research classes, giving me the opportunity to have access to everything that has been digitized so far from the archives. Going through it, I realized that there was a lot of cool stuff that most students wouldn’t have had the opportunity to see. Us at The Margazine wanted to share an appreciation for Mrs. vW for all of her hard work, and to share with you some of the school’s history through the archives.
